Stay in Swedish
Someone speaks to you in Swedish. You understand. But when it's your turn to answer, your Swedish disappears.
You switch to English and later you think: why didn't I just answer?
This usually isn't a vocabulary problem. It's a training problem.
There's a specific moment between understanding and responding where things fall apart. Nobody trains you for it. We call it the Waiting Gap.
Courses
Gave you structure and rules. But in class, people wait for you. In real conversations, they don't.
Apps and self-study courses
Gave you practice and a sense of progress. But without feedback, you can't tell what holds up under pressure and what doesn't.
Speaking more
Helped in some ways. But without targeting this specific moment, the freeze stays exactly where it is.
None of these paths were built for this moment.
They all assume that if you know enough Swedish, the moment will take care of itself. It won't. That's why it hasn't.
Three skills, taught in a specific order.
Each of these skills targets a different part of the Waiting Gap, in the order they actually break down.
From confusion to clarity
Decode teaches you how the pieces of Swedish connect. When someone speaks to you, you're working with a system, not searching through fragments.
From clarity to direction.
You have seconds, not minutes. Navigate trains you to choose what to say under real pressure. Not the perfect sentence. A clear one.
From direction to independent use.
You practice with real situations from your life and get feedback on what worked, why it worked, and how to do more of it.
FIRST 6 WEEKS: ACTIVATION
TWO SESSIONS PER WEEK
ONE 90-MINUTE LESSON
ONE 60-MINUTE PRACTICE SESSION
Most programs teach Swedish in a classroom and hope it transfers to your hallway. This program connects the two directly. You take what you learn into your real conversations and bring back what actually happened. That's the material we work with.
NEXT 6 WEEKS: STABILIZATION
ONE 60-MINUTE LIVE SESSION PER WEEK
Between sessions, the group stays active: weekly challenges, peer feedback, questions and discussion, and direct input from us. This phase is about working through real conversations from your life, so what you practiced in the first six weeks becomes how you actually speak
At the end of the 12 weeks, you'll also receive individual pronunciation and clarity recommendations based on how you actually speak throughout the program. This is specific to you, based on your patterns, analyzed by two teachers with over 14 years of specialization in Swedish pronunciation.
"I understand quite a lot of Swedish but when someone speaks to me and waits, my mind just goes empty. I always ended up switching to English. The words are there, I just can't get to them fast enough. Now I don't switch automatically anymore. For me that's a big difference."

We're Bojana and Natalia. We're not from Sweden. Bojana is from Croatia. Natalia is from Russia. We both moved here as adults and had to learn Swedish the way you're learning it now.
Natalia was a top student back home. One day, an older woman at a grocery store asked her something simple in Swedish. She understood nothing. The gap between who she was and who she felt like in Swedish became impossible to ignore. Bojana's story is different, she moved to Sweden suddenly and faced the same gap from a different angle, but the feeling is the same.
We know this moment from the inside. Not from a textbook.
We're certified teachers of Swedish as a second language (legitimerade lärare i svenska som andraspråk). We've taught at every level of Swedish education that exists, from adult education to university to corporate programs for companies like Arm, Massive Entertainment, and Avalanche Studios.
"What they worked on was the part no one else has reached. And that is what made the difference. To not only understand, but also be understood."
You work directly with us. Not hired instructors. Us.

You should be able to understand most everyday spoken Swedish and be willing to speak it, even if that feels uncomfortable right now. Beyond that, your level doesn't matter as much as you think. Whether you speak a little or quite a lot, if you freeze or switch to English when conversations get real, that's exactly where this program starts.
We're not teaching you more Swedish and hoping the freeze goes away. We train the specific moment where it happens. The group is small enough that we see exactly where you get stuck, and we work with that directly. You also receive individual pronunciation and clarity recommendations at the end, based on how you actually speak throughout the program. This is also the introductory price. Future cohorts will be priced higher.
All sessions are outside regular office hours. The first 6 weeks: about 2.5 hours per week. One 90-minute lesson (Mondays, 18:00-19:30) and one 60-minute practice session (Saturdays, 10:00-11:00). Weeks 7-12: about 1 hour of live session per week, plus ongoing group activity between sessions: feedback, discussion, tips, and reflection. You engage with that at your own pace.
Sessions are recorded so you can catch up. But live participation is where the real work happens. The feedback, the practice, the group dynamic don't transfer to a recording the same way.
Online. Live. Small group.
